CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS
You are giving these programs your evening, your Saturday, and your professional development budget. Here is exactly what you can expect in return, from the moment you register to the day your certificate lands in your inbox.
Your Therapy Doctor has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 8126. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Your Therapy Doctor is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
NBCC-approved hours are recognized by a wide range of state boards, and your board holds the final authority on what it accepts for renewal. We recommend confirming with your board before you register. Email us and we will send the learning objectives, content level, and hour breakdown you need for that conversation.
Two formats, one standard of rigor. Choose the rhythm that fits your season.
Every session stands on its own and carries its own credit hour, so you are welcome to choose the topics that serve your practice right now. Registration happens session by session. Clinicians who attend all eight earn the full 8 NBCC-approved hours.
Every session has its own Zoom registration. As soon as you register, Zoom emails your personal join link and a calendar hold. A laptop or desktop with a stable connection gives you the best experience. Please join under the name that matches your license so your attendance record is accurate.
Yes. Full attendance is required and is verified through the Zoom attendance log. Partial credit is unavailable, which is the standard across NBCC-approved programming. Log in a few minutes early so a slow connection never costs you the hour.
Yes. Registrants receive the session slides and any accompanying worksheets or practice tools by email. These are yours to keep and to use in your work. Several sessions include a reflection tool you can carry directly into your own practice or supervision.
Email info@yourtherapydoctor.com with your request as early as you can, ideally two weeks before the session date. Some accommodations, such as a sign-language interpreter, take time to arrange well. Live captioning is available in every session at your request.
Three steps, all of them straightforward:
The post-test and evaluation link arrives by email at the close of each session.
You take it again, at no additional cost. The post-test is open book and it exists to confirm your learning rather than to catch you out. Every question maps directly to a stated learning objective, so the material you need is material you have already covered.
Your certificate arrives by email as a PDF within 48 hours of your successful assessment score. It lists your name, the program title, the completion date, the NBCC-approved hours earned, and ACEP No. 8126, which is everything your board needs at renewal or audit.
Email us and we will send a replacement copy. Participant completion records are retained in accordance with NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider requirements, so your hours remain verifiable long after the session ends. Save the PDF to your own CE folder as well, since renewal seasons arrive faster than any of us expect.
Cancel up to 5 days before the event date for a full refund. Simply email us and we will take care of it.
Life happens, and we plan for it. If an emergency prevents you from attending a session you registered for, let us know and your registration will be awarded toward a future event date. Reach out as soon as you are able so we can move you to the session you want.
Every session is led by Dr. Pauline Belton, Ed.D., LCPC-ACS, BCHT, a doctoral-level clinician and Approved Clinical Supervisor, adjunct professor in the Department of Counseling at Bowie State University, and author of The H.E.A.R.T. of Resilient Leadership and Navigating Stress in the Workplace. You are learning from a clinician who is still in the room.
Email info@yourtherapydoctor.com and you will hear back within 3 business days. Your feedback shapes what we build next. As an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider, Your Therapy Doctor also reports grievances to NBCC in accordance with the NBCC Continuing Education Provider Policy.
Ask it. A real person reads every message, and you will hear back within one business day. Invest in you. Strengthen your practice. Sustain your impact.
